Not familiar with all the other laws of mortgages as if a investment residence except the community is easy to rent in North carolina, but not sure on an investment laws of mortgages?

John I think that what he was getting at is a change in the law that excludes having to pay taxes on forgiven debt without having to jump through all the hoops and have the IRS manually review your claim of hardship.

Laws very widely on exactly what you can do in situations like this, and are very strict in some locations.

A few states have some specific laws that restrict or otherwise compromise what you can do with a lease/option deal.

This semester I am taking Real Estate law, and next semester I will really begin to take actual Real Estate classes such as classes on appraisal, mortgage brokering and a class on Commercial Real estate.
