Typically what I see is that if there is adequate notice and there's a likelihood that the nights will be booked by other parties then I would allow for the refund (myself as the Host), but if that is loss income because you have made the commitment to use the property during that time that is a cost of doing business on your end.

How many people recently received a notice from Apartments.com stating that we need to add/update tax information to continue to receive rent payments and the system will not let them enter valid tax information?
