Boiler Tune-up/Maintainance in NJ

Anne Williams
Posted

I would like to get a boiler tuned up for one of my properties. I doubt the previous owner did much maintenance on it, even though it is working. I heard PSEG will service boilers but will charge about $300 alone just for an inspection before any repairs . They also have a monthly program for about $10.70 which involves them fixing the boiler for certain things if there is an issue...I wanted to know if anyone has used any of their services and if it was worth it? Or if you can recommend another affordable option for an inspection and services...

Hello, I have PSE&G worry free for the furnace. I take it a step further. I give the tenants the worry free contract and contact information. If the heat goes out, don't call me, call PSE&G they will come an repair. Last winter they did have a 24 hour delay in getting out to one of my properties. The tenants called PSE&G, knew the schedule and then texted me. The furnace was repaired and the work was done. If it is working, I would get the service now, there is a 15 or 30 day waiting period. You can get it as a landlord account as well.
