When I look at my contract and the longer state contracts, I make sure they address the issues that need to be addressed and also get modified over time should something come up.You need to fully understand your contracts.

Have they have been updated and are up to code. otherwise you should consider all these factors in your offer and plan to address them. 

I had temporarily moved in with them right before boot camp, so this address was my "home of record" - it was the address on my drivers license, where I was registered to vote, etc.
