He claimed he needed to call customer service to fix, but I think this is some sort of limitation with the VOIP service....Flag#4 - Kept asking me redundant questions that didnt make sense, showing a lack of knowledge in the lending industry.Flag#5 - Googling his name came back with a plethora of criminal cases/activity involving this name in other countries.

@Katya Holrigien I am still learning how things are done here in the state, but when I, as an owner of a personal property in Canada, was selling prior to moving here to the US, my new husband had to sign some sort of Dower release.

@Brian Eastman  thank you, no loan so that's not an issue but my only question is you mentioned a JV so does it need to be organic partnership just me and the 401(k) on title, and some sort of joint venture agreement or can I put in an LLC ?

Well, I'm thinking if you can do this sort of thing in such a neighborhood that absolutely is guaranteed to stay stable, or "upwardly gentrify" then it's not such a terrible thing to someone who wants low hassle factor and doesn't mind the risk of a house staying vacant due to barrier to entry (i.e. income requirements, heft move in expense, etc.).

I've been working a 9-5 again for just over a year and I would rather be working for myself doing real estate investments.I plan on making some sort of deal happen this year, not quite sure how I am going to make it happen but I will.
