Get it past closing....that's all that matters to the seller.You can try to cover the repaired areas with an oil based primer that is tinted similar color to the paint and then do a couple coats.

Once its in the wood or concrete there is no getting the smell out all you can do is tear a wood floor out or cover the floor with oil based sealer a couple times.
