I'm living in Miami currently but for real estate im willing to relocate!!

I actually relocated from the Seattle area to Kansas City for work for a couple of years (moving back to Seattle in a couple of weeks as my wife and I are expecting our first child in 12 weeks), so it allowed us to view properties in person.

I'm a new real estate investor getting ready to relocate to the Tampa Bay area to flip houses with my husband.

I lease the other unit for 1,650$ per month and assume I can get the same for the unit I live in at the time of relocating This is a fixed rate and since I have lived here two out of the last five years.

Have you tried having an open conversation with the tenant and discussing a raise in their rent (if not a rent controlled or rent stabilized unit) and/or offering them relocation fees or incentive fees to deliver the apartment vacant? 

Anecdotally, I'd say half the inquiries I get are from medical pros and the rest are all over the map from relocations to seasonal workers to digital nomads to academics, to people traveling into town for lengthy medical treatments.
