Say for example you have a GC and a draw schedule, you are going along and paying according to the draw schedule as things are getting complete, but then the GC starts screwing up, falling behind schedule, sloppy work, failing inspections, etc. and so you don't want to continue using them for the rest of the job ... what is the best way to fire them in a fair and honest fashion without running the risk of them liening you just because they are PO'ed?

Can a contractor "inspect" the property in the same fashion and to the same standards as an inspector would?

There are a lot of great communities with vibrant downtowns that are an easy train ride from Philly for commuters. 

If I may inquire, why have you chosen to spread your investments out in such a fashion? 

I had to ride one atty like a rented mule to keep him moving - I've peeled his cases off and assigned them to others.I'd take @William Joseph up on his offer to find a non-REI attorney. 

Don't confuse success by riding the wave that lifts all boats w/your SF rentals and confuse that w/expertise.  

Once people can dial up a car and then play with whatever the trending smart gadget is at the time while they commute, the appeal of being a 5 minute drive from everything won't be significantly better than being a 20 minute ride away.

I dont think there is one on tearing down a house , sometimes you have to do the old fashion way , call a contractor on the phone and get an estimate .
