I lent money to the corp. to buy those houses and the corp. is supposed to reimburse me 5% of what I lended every year (to get my money back in 20 years if I am still alive...).The problem is that the corp. is of course unable to give me back money for now ; it’s not that much for me but it is for my children who carry that debt (declared to the french tax administration).

I suppose the biggest thing I can say is define everything up front, do due diligence on the Contractor, sometimes it's worth paying a little more to work with a professional and not some guy with a pick up truck and a Class B License who works on a hand shake.

This is by law so I'm not sure about the owner financing since you are the "bank", so to speak, as I am with my notes - these both seem to fit into the servicing company and what they are supposed to do.
