I recently closed on a duplex (2BR, 1BA, 1152 sq. ft. each) that needs some work done in each of the bathrooms.

The green bathroom in what looks like the master to me is a specific buyer taste thing.

My parents came home to find that the upstairs bathroom had a leak from one of the bolts not being tight enough.

The vinyl floor tiles were coming unglued, toilets didn't flush well, vanity was barely attached to wall.

I sent my electrician an email and this was his response:"I'll only be using GFCI receptacles where needed, i.e.kitchen, bathroom, basement, laundry,etc.

The only white cabinets I own are semi custom in my own master bathroom, and the carcass paint has yellowed dramatically compared to the thermofoil doors, looks pretty awful.I'm a fan of cliched finishes in my century old buildings.

It's currently listed at 360K but the place needs major repairs (e.g. kitchen completely gone, vanities missing, french doors gone and more) I don't think it's near worth that much in its current condition.

Jennifer Lee I'd say if you can't afford to stage a house completely, so that it has enough furnishings and decor to spark the imagination of the buyer envisioning living there, then focus on staging the bathroom and kitchen simply but of a quality befitting the potential home buyer, and make sure the house is painted in a neutral colors (that doesn't mean everything has to be builder beige!)

This is masked vanity to an extent in my estimation.
