At the time I had a pretty good W2 job.I am also getting slow, but steady appreciation (good area, good schools) and I am able to raise rents a few % per year.... 

@Dan KielySugar Land and Katy are family-friendly suburbs with good schools, a strong job market, and a safe environment, but have higher property taxes and commute times.

I started learning real estate investment to quit my full-time job and spend more time with my 3-year-old daughter as well as build cashflow to pay for her future private school tuition.

I curse that corrupt mf til this day.In the 1980s in high school we were on Baja beach drinking alcohol (I was 16 or 17 years old).  

My town built all new schools and raised taxes.

I’ve saved up a bit of capital during high school and my plan is to keep building it while I’m in college and start investing quickly.

You went to flight school to learn to fly, realtors learn what gets people sued and how to avoid that.

Universities, flight schools, HR departments for corporate housing, military bases, etc... the list is actually pretty long. 

And it's actually going to make us MORE money with WAY less work and headache 🙏 (I mean we'll still have tenants so its not without headache).I also have 2 littles, whom I homeschool, were just finishing up renovating a school bus, and started a couple businesses, while traveling the country (hippie scientist gone green real estate investor 🤓, still hippie 🌈✌️🚌, with hottie chef husband 👨‍🍳).

Life long Yorba Linda resident, because of the school system and safety Yorba Linda homes tend to rent out quickly.
