I don't fault the banks for wanting to unload in bulk and I don't fault the investment companies for making a profit but I see a real problem developing on the horizon from this.

And if it goes really badly remember that student loans can't even be discharged in bankruptcy.You have a very long time horizon to invest (assuming you are of the normal 'just married' age).
