I am now working as an engineer in the Twin Cities, but have plans of moving to Austin, TX with my wife to house-hack and work in the more plentiful tech market over there.

If you're planning to buy in the US, there are programs for those that aren't US citizens.

You can finance it with an FHA loan (3.5% down) or a conventional loan (5% down) if you plan to live in the property.

Did the subdivision rules and regulations and convenants that got approved by the planning board have this?
