I am at a real estate investment class but I don’t feel it is necessary to pay $40,000 for training with a “guru.”I’m just looking to see if anyone is currently investing in the Glasgow, Edinburgh, or anywhere in Scotland and wanted to have a cup of tea or coffee and chat about some real estate? 

If they can't meet you in person, establish a video chat with them.Money shouldn't be sent until they are satisfied the place meets their needs and you invite them to apply. 

As a 20 year resident of the MA, I have lived in various regions outside of Boston so if you'd like to chat about up and coming neighborhoods that could stand to appreciate more in the next few years and towns that are targeted to be the 'hot' areas of the next market let me know.

I would just keep it open ended to see who is interested and if they want to chat more then you can get into the details of what you should pay.
