The West side has really just started gaining in popularity in the 2000s as Phoenix growth has demanded, so still adding specialty businesses and non-chain restaurants and the like.  

Closest town with restaurants is Walhalla which has very limited eating places and nothing really that is stand out - think a few fast food and mexican places, not much else.  

However Covid protocols has shut down that avenue - so get it where you can sine it's all online anyway.Feel free to contact me if I can answer any specific questions.  

Hello all,I purchased a small 1 bedroom vacation house on a lake in a rural area the week before the country shut down for Covid-19. 

I’m thinking restaurant videos, business interviews, best local parks, drive through tours of different developments or even interviews with the HOA boards on features and neighborhood feel.

However, sometimes I do like to speak to the department in person to develop relationships, but that's very hard to do since city hall is shut down to the public, for the most part.  

Within the city limits of Boca you are not actually allowed to do STR even if the neighborhood allows it if you are caught by the city they will shut you down and fine you but as a few people have mentioned most communities wont allow it.

I do not know anything about it, but one day I went to a restaurant and I heard a guy talking about bigger pockets podcasts, and that got me interested in this, but I have a lot of questions.Is there an app or a place that investors go to look for the houses that they decide to invest in?

Perdido Key is more laid back, not as many restaurants, has a national park, prettier beach in my opinion. 

In Dec there was a winter storm which shut down the area and I had guests that could not get out to depart so I extended their stay by 2 days (they did not have 4WD although with that 2 day storm 4WD did not help many).
