I am currently house-hacking 1 duplex currently & looking to buy a 2nd before the end of the year.

Any tips or advice are welcome.For context, the property is a 1BR, 1BA condo.

I'm working on our first BRRR of a Duplex in Concord & I was curious if anyone had experience cash-out refinancing with local banks.

Hello wholesalers, I'm surrounded by condos.

But I would consider splitting that off into the separate unit for a rental when you sell ---  of course you'd want to run the numbers/explore the market to see whether the duplex or SFH would give you the best valuation.In an effort to produce more affordable housing, CA is in favor of garage conversions (amongst other things) to create ADUs ('accessory dwelling units'). 

For me, one of the best spots in St Paul for a new investor is Payne-Phalen: still many sub-200k duplexes (albeit old ones), nice community, and the Payne commercial corridor with awesome businesses such as Toung in Cheek, Caydence coffee, etc.

Im a full time flight attendant and travel with work more than 50% of each month.Id like to buy a duplex out of state, using an FHA loan, and occupy one of the units for the first year. 

I don't know if you can finance a 3-4 unit with it but I do know you can do a  duplex. 

My current partner and I have 2 condos under contract for $60k each and currently renting for $1k each/month.

Fast forward to 2013 and my husband and I were looking for a house to buy when we stumbled onto a duplex that we couldn't pass up.
