I started to learn about real estate investing over 10 years ago by reading Robert Kiyosaki's and Robert Allen's books, and discovering Don Campbell's ACRE system.

We can read all we want in books and blogs, but human, real insight and experiences sometimes provide most beneficial.

It's very difficult due the nature and age and deferred maintenance on most of the properties you'll be looking at.Do your homework, take the online course under the education tag, listen to many of the podcasts, read many of the blog posts and guides, buy recommended books and learn more, ask questions in the forums, get as much value out of the time you spend on BiggerPockets as you can.

My mentor gave me an assignment to write a micro-blog about how I got started in real estate. 

There are many different strategies you can use to invest so get familiar with them by reading  Bigger Pocket  books, Blogs , Forum Posts and of course listen to the Podcasts.

Run the numbers with your rose colored glasses off and you will discover that developing a park is a long, difficult road to cash flow. 

I never purchase real estate for cash flow and wondering what are my options.I have been reading this blog for a while and learned few tricks other than that I'm novice.I though of buying 3 properties and dividing the money as down payments and sometimes I'm thinking of buying 2 in expensive propeties all cash and fixing and renting them.
