@Douglas Curtiss FYI, they will also mock your plans for stocks, options, ira's,, starting a business, working overtime, getting promotions, etc... fortunately, my family is very supportive, but i know others who are less than encouraging.

I understand that things like rent are considered passive income and that sales are considered capital gains, and both are disqualified as qualifying income from which to make Roth IRA contributions.
