If the multi is deemed abandoned by the town ensure you know what must be done to bring it back to rentable status. 

I think that area is going to be all about who you know and ensuring you have an excellent PM, cleaning company, and system for turning over the property/checking guests in before you buy.

By the time you get up and running and get your review status up, you'll miss much of the spring/summer season.

It is my understanding that short term rentals with swimming pools are more desirable for some Guest.

I'd look close to the downtown area as most guests I've had are in town (this is pre-Covid, obviously) for concerts, events, etc.

Now we have it listed as a STR and we hired a manager to handle all the guest communications, maintenance, and housekeeping.
