Did you sign an exclusive with the agent? 

Speaking of MLS, before you sign, definitely look to make sure it is not a property that is already on the MLS, branded as an exclusive wholesale deal.  

Have a lawyer look over the exclusions to make sure that you are not getting invisible protection.

Hey Fay, it's a bit murky, but according to an article by the American Society of Civil Engineers, "The ordinance applies to all soft-first-story wooden buildings—exclusive of those built for solely residential purposes and containing three or fewer units—and all wooden buildings built to building code standards that were enacted before 1978."

What I find facinating is that Section 12.59 entitled "Prohibited sex discrimination" was already on the books, with some exclusions.

@Jason Gass Once I figured out that the property was listed on the MLS, I made sure to find out whether the seller was signed with the exclusive right to sell or exclusive agency listing, which in that case, would not be unethical.
