The big issues are the same as with auctions at the court house...clean title, tax liens, back taxes, and occupancy status.  

Eventually AirBNB will be so guest focused that more and more owners will leave the platform, then what will they do?

I know cleaning fees have increased and Airbnb is also more challenging in terms of now threatening you with $$$$$ fines if you cancel a reservation for any “avoidable” reason, and also taking the guests side sometimes when they break your stuff like your hot tub (by leaving the lid off) or your air conditioner (by leaving the door open).I also want to say that you should be making offers on at least 50% of the houses you go tour as str investments.

But this option takes a decent amount of cash2) Self employed buyers – The old status quo of lenders needing 2 years of personal and business bank statements is not always the case anymore.

Looking for recommendations for our Airbnb---reliable cleaning service that also does laundry for turnovers-friendly, responsible personal assistant ( a few hours/month) who can help with guest check-in/out, receiving occasional deliveries, real estate related errands, etc., since we are not in NYC full-time.Thanks and happy holidays!

If there is a different forum that is a better fit for this post, please let me know.The driveway is steep and gravel, and our handyman/cleaner (who worked for the previous owner and knows the house and its history well) suggested we have concrete poured to help with guests spinning out / getting stuck.

I have done some research and found several things (broker, flipping etc) that count towards Real Estate Professional (REP) tax status.
