It's very simple, plug the sewer at the clean out, fill the pipes with water and wait to see if the water level goes down at all. 

Butt before we do that, in order to help augment the savings I was thinking about wholesaling a property or two to get my feet wet in the industry.

I used 25% of rent as a plug to include utilities and vacancy.2) you mentioned the $13,800 in rents but only mention two units at $825 ($9900YR gross rents).
