I am a member of a JaxREIA and ProREIA here and its been instrumental for getting educated and meeting people doing things in real estate.

Even the city has to get property they own re-zoned with public hearings and approvals if they're trying to develop it and it isn't an approved use.

I am a big believer in the fact that there are benefits to many different strategies and if you are able to use multiple strategies to reach your end goals, go for it, just make sure you are educated and prepared to initiate multiple strategies.That is the very short version, but hopefully if helps a little.

Get educated (from this site and its podcasts), find good deals, and the money will come.

Long story short: Bought and remodeled my first house last year and loved every minute of it, so I dove into real estate education last year with the plan being to flip homes in LA.

But if the non-profit was legit and there was a real purpose for the public good, there may be an alternative that would be "authorized". :)

I have been educating my self through these forums and soon i hope to have enough knowledge and confidence to get out there and make some money.

The act applies to originators and loan negotiators (forbearance/modification) dealing with the origination event or any event where the public negotiates with a mortgagee such as modifications.

We are going to join our local REIA in our area for further education and to network with other like minded individuals and investors as soon as the next meeting comes around.
