Trying to get started in Massachusetts

My name is Christopher Wilbur. I am an owner/partner at a technology firm in Eastern Massachusetts and I am looking to break into real estate investing. I came across this site as well as the podcasts last week and am very excited to start learning from all the professionals involved in this community!

As I said i would like to break into Real estate investing but I really don't even know where to begin. I am interested in buying and holding rental properties and perhaps getting involved in a couple of Flips. My ultimate goal is for passive income earned with these properties to cover my current living expenses (and hopefully more). I do not have much capital to work with at the moment and work full time.

Any advice for a newbie like me hoping to get started in Massachusetts?

Thanks!
