Now you have a bunch of rental properties, generating you a modest income, and gaining equity through appreciation (probably) and mortgage pay-down.If the house you built has no mortgage, I'd do the same with that.Now, you may be one of those people who just doesn't like debt or feels better having none.

I sent you a PM with some more detail - but there's really two schools of thought 1) - Low initial price (10-15%) and owner pays for everything.2) Higher all in price - (25-35%) - but you cover payment processing, consumables, photo/listing setup, pass through maintenance work, remote lock service, welcome books, etc etc etc.
