NEED YOUR FEEDBACK-- San Diego Garbage Disposal company

Hey everyone, I have a situation I'd love your feedback on.

I have an office building in El Cajon, CA. We use Waste Management for our garbage disposal. However, the company is emerging with EDCO and our account will be transferred to EDCO starting January.

With everything else staying constant, EDCO is saying that my monthly payment will be increasing by over $100 per month. I found this very odd. I'm still waiting on a call back from them to understand what's going on. But in the meantime, I started looking for other companies, and surprisingly, there are NONE.

Is this normal? 1 company with no competition? There are other companies in San Diego but none of them offer services in east county. Sounds like a monopoly to me, but maybe I'm exaggerating.

Thanks for reading. What would you do?
