If you purchase two separately platted houses, they will each have their own mortgage, but a bank might do a single note, cross-collateralizing both properties, but that would be odd and not serve any purpose I can see, absent more details.   

Assign or double-closeI've also been told to run your paperwork by a contract attorney to make sure your i's are dotted and t's are crossed.

-Pricing seen on sold off market for 2-4 flat and larger buildings (please include # of units, some details about building, ie const. type, cross streets, unit sizes, condition upon purchase, etc.).
