So, check into that as that may be an additional hard cost you need to factor in.

Originally dod a private room rental while we lived in the home.

My side is just a studio 1/1, I will be living in alone.

My husband and I purchased a 2 family house that was fully occupied with tenants, intending to live in the first floor.

The STR has been successful, but I do not see me getting the additional funded construction costs back anytime soon.  

Now you have to hope someone will want to live next door to this junky property. 

We see this as an opportunity to focus on real estate investment and start a new chapter in our lives.
