If SF came into a house that you were remodeling, assuming this is not your person residence, they can deny all claims.

if he is recovering from a stroke it may not be safe for him to live alone.If they do apply either deny because of bad credit or a lack of income or tell them you decided to go with another applicant.

Also if you applied and were denied it would probably be a year before you tried again at which point the inquiry comes off your report
