Almost destroying the American economy should have landed someone in jail, but when the crash ended there was somehow nobody to blame? 

The housing market crash effected different areas differently. 

It appears that home prices in several markets did take a bit of a dip in 2007 so there was sort of a warning, but that doesn't mean that it would happen again.My hope is that prices will stagnate but not come crashing down. 

Being single makes this easy...suitable payments for crashing on a friends couch are cases of beer/bottles of booze/tacos/etc...or even some cash for rent if you are there long enough. 

So yes, home inspector is a great way to get a crash course in construction training. 

Buying right now in this market feels too much like CA in 2008 when everything was overvalued & came crashing down.

Guys, Finding BiggerPockets after what I went thru when the market crashed is like being lost on a long hot road, walking up hill, sweating and dying of thirst, not sure  where you are going and out of nowhere someone pulls up and gives you a ride to the top of the hill.

I was not around in 1929, but everyone was making crazy money at that time until stock market crash.
