I use ripropinfo.com (which is free) to look up owners and other information for properties.To use it just scroll down to the row for the city/town and then click the Assessor link, then look up the property by address on the tax assessor’s site.Once you get comfortable with doing that, you can take the name(s) you find on the assessor site and use it in the Land Evidence site (i.e., land records) for the town to look up mortgages, violations, etc. for the property.There may be paid apps that will also do it (people mention DealMachine a lot) but that website (ripropinfo) and the tax assessors pages work fine on a phone so unless you’re going to dedicate a lot of time “driving for dollars”, I’d start out with something simpler and free rather than going for a monthly fee service like DealMachine.

Redfin, Zillow, Realtor.com - the filters will allow you to find properties that are available in the market that meet your criteria (beds/baths/square footage & age), if you scroll to the bottom you will typically see sold comparable properties.

They do, and Auction.Com even talks about it on their FAQ: https://www.auction.com/lp/learn-more/bank-owned/bidding/ (then scroll down to "counter bidding") I notice they say not all states require disclosing counter bids.
