Homes in good school districts get higher rents, have lower vacancies, and have generally better tenants.It doesn't need to be the crown jewel school district.  

Crown Point?

Silver spring, Wheaton, Rockville, twinbrook and Crown/Rio in MocoMt Rainer, Hyattsville, Riverdale Park and parts of College Park in PG

Those neighborhoods have aged well, College Hill and Riverside probably the two more popular places.Riverside/Indian Hills on the W Side near the park.College Hill, and Crown Heights are the two you are thinking of near Eastborough.  

Thank you for the shout out, @Jonathan Klemm 😃I am a realtor and investor in Northwest Indiana (Hammond, Whiting, East Chicago, Crown Point, etc. )  - its definitely a profitable market to invest in with room for appreciation.

My office has a lot of moulding, from the coffered ceiling, crown moulding to the wainscoting.

I've laid down floors (laminate, doing luxury vinyl plank this month in my basement) I've installed base and crown molding, I tore down and rebuilt our closet in our bedroom and built custom doors, I installed wainscoting in my sons room and actually built a bar, server and dining table for our dining room!

Of our commercial properties we sold the majority of them over the past few years (resulting in us paying off all our commercial debt) and are likely holding on to the two crown jewels of our portfolio unless someone wants to offer us stupid money for either of them.

It's been repaired esthetically (new paint, crown molding, ceiling fans) but none of the major problems have been addressed.  

They even ran 220 up to the 2nd floor with a 3 wire then split it to run 2 different homeruns to the same circuit...scary stuff)-New oak staircase-New windows and trim, baseboard, crown moulding, etc.
