Now if you are licensed and a REALTOR you have to look at Ethics in the deal.If you are simply licensed by the real estate commission then ETHICS do not come into play.Meaning they can't file an ethics complaint with your local board where your license might be subject to a sanction.Investors say not to get a license because license agents are held to a higher standard as they are trained inc contract where as investors like to play dumb.Having a license helps because I get insider deals and contacts of properties hitting the market.I can also check my MLS with updates by the second on when a new property hits.So for me as a broker owner I enjoy having the license.

It was a bit far as it was in Culver City but we plan to go again to their Meeting/training this Saturday with Wendy Patton. they charge $49 for this Saturdays training unless your a member.

You put this in commercial real estate topic.This designations are more residential in nature.If you want to start learning commercial go after the CCIM as a start.When you decide what asset class you enjoy and want to specialize in (retail,land development,hotels,office,industrial,multifamily,etc.) then you can get additional training from organizations that only handle those fields.

Saw where a company came back to the US because Chinese wages are increasing and the desperate US state gave great concessions, plus the govt trained the workers.
