I was able to quit my job and use real estate investing to still have enough money to pay the bills.  

Actually got a house under contract today in Tempe for a BiggerPockets user who's going to "house hack" it. 

My background is internet software development, mainly do project management now, but love testing software. 

I felt that I could not go back to investing because of the malicious and false accusations spread on the Internet by my detractors and my ex-wife's supporters.

ON the flip side of this, you do need to understand that some "adjustments" between actual revenue and costs might occur before hitting the tax return....for example, if they have $5000 in internet and cell phones to operate the facility, you will need to believe them when they say they "wrap" that into the business....we all know it doesnt take that many cell phones to run a facility but if the IRS will allow it.....you get the idea.
