Define your qualification criteria, find a system that apply it universally, and accept the best match to your public criteria. 

I have been tinkering around BP for a year or so in the background -- using this space as a search engine -- but I'm finally engaging in the community-aspect, which is impressively concise in its mission and rich with participation.

The interest aspect will keep you pushing when it gets hard and choosing your route based on the market will help protect you so that your investing journey doesn't end as quickly as it begins! 

I think the most important aspect is that the paint tone chosen is neutral (same for flooring).

It really helps to have some pre-defined clauses that lay the groundwork to make sure your Tenant abides by the agreement.

While they may not be applied 100% to Real Estate, I would recommend the following fields:  Accounting, Psychology, Engineering or LawAccounting is generally a little more rigorous than Finance, Economics could be another option if you are interested in that.Psychology would be a good degree to help with the marketing/sales aspects of Real Estate.Engineering would help with some of the home improvement areas.

Be sure to have clear, well defined goals for what you want to accomplish by investing passively in real estate.

@Rebecca Coleman As far as logistically executing a seller finance deal, I think one aspect that regularly gets overlooked is how the payments will actually be made.When of the most common objections from sellers (especially tired landlords) goes something like this, "That sounds great and all, but I don't want to be running around collecting checks like it's rent.

Please detail an experience or case where that discriptor was legally defined as discriminatory towards handicapped.
