The group was organized by local realtor company and a GC.

My wife and I recently had a kid so I've put a hold on organizing meetups for awhile.

Why don't you take the reigns and organize one?

I found this site through the podcast which was introduced to me during a meetup organized by @Country Musick a little bit over a month ago.

I was thinking to organize one of these at LA City College in East Hollywood, not for August but perhaps for September or October.

With that, here I am.I know next to nothing about REI, but I have always had an interest in RE since I was young and I actually used to want to just work at Home Depot just to be around it all, so I have no doubt that this will be fun an rewarding in the long haul.I cannot wait to look back at 2015 and see how I have grown over 3, 5, or even 10 years after making this executive decision.All that being said, I love just reading and listening to all I can right now and it is a blast filling my notebook with all the information I am finding here in the community and that is really my primary focus for the foreseeable future.

But, Bigger Pockets offers real and actionable resources from what I've seen.Just from diving in to BP over the past 3 months, my RE knowledge has grown a lot.

Right now it's about allowing my kids to finish school where they have grown up.  

I have a friend that would like to invest a lot of money into his business but can't because it is not organized properly to handle it.

It's ok not to be eloquent (I'm not); organization and integrity can take you a long way.
