Hello BP Community,This looks like a great investment to us, but because we believe in feng shui, we are unable to proceed with this investment property. 

We are converting our house into a rental property and there is an interior security camera (part of a NEST system) in the main living area Is there any reason I have to remove it when tenants occupy the property?

.- Landscaping, add nice garden up front, trim trees, remove overgrown vines from house siding- Remove old walkway and replace with new right angle walkway to driveway instead of street- Fix up front porch, new concrete probably- Repair any problem siding- Flooring has some unevenness, joists in crawl space/basement need to be added or adjusted.- Exterior paint, interior paint - HVAC and water heater appear new, roof appears new- Interior has some water stain marks, replace drywall patches- Replace kitchen with modern cabinets, granite, appliances- Oak floors downstairs hopefully can be refinished- Replace carpet upstairs with composite flooring or nice carpet - stairs are carpeted!

We are selling a property.

For us, we are leveraging the fact that we are looking to owner occupy on properties that need quite a bit of work.

We think that this is because we are pretty good renters, we always pay our rent on time and I sometimes fix little things around the house that need repair.Around the time we started that 2 years ago,  we had an off-hand conversation with the owners where they told us that they might be willing to sell us this house as we have never before owned a home.Two years later, I've discovered BiggerPockets and I think that buying this house might be a good way to start in REI.
