To start the process they require: 1) letter of intent; 2) lien release proposal written with attorney or title agent; 3) survey with descriptions of before and after.

I view our Insurance agent as a strategic team member--anytime we start to get serious about a deal they will run reports, even help us pull comps and get creative about what the right coverage is.

Hi all- We closed on our first STR literally one week ago and today I was informed by my insurance agent that our homeowners insurance company cancelled our coverage because in their words "A HOME/DWELLING RENTED LESS THAN WEEKLY IS INELIGIBLE FOR COVERAGE."

Wish I saw this sooner, I’m an investor and an agent.  

Just make sure you work with a team of agent/lender/attorney who have done this already.
