No agenda or pitches, just straight-up networking.

Within months, I joined an investing group such as this and learned a heap of knowledgeable tools that propelled me through at a quicker pace than expected.

@Tamara Elliott-Deering - yes, the bank uses a pool, and I got the same appraiser for the second go around...my banker (a good friend and investor, too) agrees with me this is a good deal (she has no hidden agenda - long time friend. 

The "run it through it's paces" sort of test to see if it's for me.

I have not read Rich Dad, Poor Dad yet, but that's the next book on my agenda after I finish the Managing Real Estate book by Brandon and Heather. 

Double and Triple check references and remember that everyone, even dear friends and family, EVERYONE has an agenda...I was promised a LOT of things by a mentor and friend...some painful lessons...Hope that helps, Elaine

I have rentals in NE Pensacola but we will likely be living in Pace this time around.  

I do suggest pacing yourself.

I have a pretty simple philosophy that has guided me extremely well over the years.If vendors supporting my business are not 100% on my agenda.... then they must be on their's and in very short order they will not be working me.In this example... if an agent presented this suggestion to me I would ended the relationship on the spot.
