We have a number of friends and family who are interested in investing, but we can’t seem to get a good understanding on the best approach for making these types of deals happen.

If you get the right person (fairly hit or miss) they are knowledgeable, the issue is you won't know if you have the right answer when you speak to them.Another approach would be to contract in one name and assign the contract to the ETC name.

I'm in the process of converting a 401k into a SDIRA and was wondering if any fellow BPer's would care to share what has worked or not worked for them using this investment approach.

I believe that they are extremely experienced rehabbers and know their market as well as anyone, it's more of a matter of how seriously they are going to take the partnership and if they are going to take the time to work with me step by step on these deals.Anyway I'd like to hear any thoughts as to how I should approach this or if you think I should just avoid this right off of the bat.Thanks!

I have approached 5-6 banks with deals, and none of them care to understand the asset class.

The banks I know would laugh at someone approaching them with beginner questions or guru speak right out the door.
