I've asked multiple people about this and have gotten a variety of responses.

Bottom line is I'm a bit wary of getting into this again and would really need to be sure that the first lien positions were solid, the borrower had enough skin in the game and the property was in an area where resale or rental would not be problematic in the event I had to foreclose.

Period.You are contemplating hundreds of thousands in transactions: don't go cheap on good, solid legal advice and guidance.

Appreciate all your responses and it seems the consensus is sell it, thank you.Does it change anything if I only want to rent it out for a short time (1-2 years) before selling?
