Two questions...1) About to bring a STR online in the next two weeks and am looking for some advice as this will be my first STR. 2) Specifics on the current STR cost seg. tax benefit?

You don’t ask questions on this forum for the benefit of others in the future for people and situations that don’t exist in the current world.  

Airbnb/VRBO do bring in about 60% of our bookings but that does leave another 40% to direct bookings and a combination of our other platforms (Marriott Homes and Villas, Booking.com, JetBlue and Allegiant Airlines, Google Vacation Rentals, and more).

I currently go to UCF in Orlando FL majoring in Real Estate.

I'm not saying that I favor this over buy and hold rental properties, but this seems to be a great solution for reinvesting an old self directed IRA that I have.

I guess your argument is that this is particularly tricky in the current high-interest, high-price environment, which is a point well taken.

Can someone please help me with some directions on exactly which podcast to start off with.
