Any licensee in any profession must receive formal training from a qualified instructor by education and experience and then students are tested.I hated tests in high school, later on in college my views changed.

I used to work in software sales/distribution, and it is not uncommon for people to buy software to test drive and then return. 

I go to test the brand new toilet, and it rocks back and forth.  

No test or anything required 

If you are only acting as your own agent for your own investment properties you don't have to worry about licensing classes, tests and continuing education.

I was already disillusioned by the public school anyway, as I wasn't helping kids succeed their own personal best as I was teaching them to make neat little circles in ABCD boxes on stated-mandated tests, so I quit teaching and began homeschooling my daughter (the way a kid naturally learns) and started a transcription business.

I found out when I graduated, in 1980, that I was qualified to take the test and get a broker license and I got one without taking anything extra.  

They big thing to the CPAs' presenting is that they have not been tested in the courts, yet.  

Since I went to school in Texas and I planed on staying there, I found out that I was qualified to take a broker test and get a license without taking anything extra and I got a license.  

This does not pass the smell test.
