When most of you stage a home how do you go about obtaining the furniture?

Keep your cash for when something breaks in the house, you want to remodel or maybe buy some furniture.

I doubt they will be bringing much in the way of furniture from a shelter.

Great transformation.As for the staging a few things.Overall your furniture is laid out very well, no problems there.

If you had a beach or vacation home that was furnished I would say ok but if you have a regular unfurnished rental I probably would not do it unless I was sure they would be gone somehow and even then furniture in and out is wear and tear.

@Steven Maduro,i think there is someone on the diY threads where they consolidated the ikea cabinets (plywood top and bottom to make the boxes sturdier for granite on top)google for hi-end kitchen with ikea cabinetsalso look for RTA (ready-to-assemble) cabinets: usually they are plywood with wood-fronts.search a distributor in your area. or a small mom-and pop shop that just had a custom order cancelled...also check craigslist in your area: maybe somebody just remodeled their kitchen......also you can get a few older furnitures, remodel them like a certain "lazy landlord" vanity and have some chic kitchen like no other....

I've been building custom kitchen cabinets and furniture and I really enjoy it.

I don't know any designers, and while I know a photographer who would travel up there, the agent I have in mind probably has one that he works with.Regarding staging, if you do the rehab, then I would say yes, a little staging will help people gauge the volume of each room and how furniture can be placed.
