Househacking is probably the easiest and most effective way to get started, in my opinion.You can reduce living expenses, learn a ton and also acquire an asset!

I chose not to do it because I may not even have the mortgage long enough to recoup those points (would take 7 plus years to recoup) I'd rather toss that into my reserves and reduce my capex or whatever lol

How are the profit and losses at the end handled?

You can of course explain that reducing your expenses helps to keep their costs lower.$200 seems pretty reasonable.

Similar to RRSPs, you can pay yourself out slowly when you are older to reduce taxation.Always good to check with an accountant to be sure what the rules and regulations in one's area is.

Again, all this is going to be about finding the right guy who knows how to handle a 4-inch scraper on a roller pole.

Plus when I do get to that size I want to have a website to handle complaints, repairs, applications, etc more efficiently, and I'll need some kind of name to put on the website. 

We're slowly moving along but at least we're moving.I'm looking to target 1 property a year to make sure we can handle the load and scale.

It's one thing to be interested in real estate but you need to take an actionable step and commit yourself to handle the obstacles that exist on the pathway to success.
