Hello all,26 year old stuck in the rat race in Southern California.

I don't have a pony in this race, but I've attended a couple of the community meetings on the topic while the Council was considering. 

It has no flooring.I know that I am probably beating a dead horse, trying to get a different answer.Thanks for all your help........Karen

He said that would be a good way to learn about the business and raise funds to start buying properties to manage myself (looking to make this a full time position down the road).. is it putting the cart before the horse to get into property management before managing your own?

And of course (and it's like beating a dead horse), join your local REIA and network with other local investors - you may likely find a wholesaler with a deal or a joint venture opportunity.  

I live in Charlotte NC and my salary from the rat race exceeds the median household income for the area.

It is doable in 10 years but as you can see you need deep pockets to start.Investing in real estate is normally a long slow process to wealth not a race.

He has a W2 non RE job and is sick of the rat race.
