Prices increase quickly in bidding wars.You mention rent rates: have you looked at the market for mid-term rates (1-6 months), i.e. travel nurses, etc.?

I am currently traveling around the country as a nurse but would like to invest in a house to then use as an Airbnb while I'm out of the state.

As well as a mother that is very old that lives in state.

But, also willing to work a W2 job.We both have 401k balances.We have a 17(Jr.) and 18yr(Sr.) old still living with us and a mother-in-law(who does pay rent).Should we sell paid off rental property, or cash-out refi?  

Thankfully mother nature intervened and blue acres bought it.

If medical institutions could not collect for delivering babies, doing surgery, or even just seeing sick kids, in a few years people would quit being doctors and nurses.

In fact we just helped someone buy a 2/2 condo and he is renting out the spare bedroom/bathroom to a traveling nurse to help cover the mortgage.

Upstairs tenant's lease expired and moved out, so we furnished it and rent it out to traveling nurses for a lot more than a long-term tenant.
