Advice on obtaining a distressed property
Hello BP, recently I came across a few distressed properties. The owner of these properties is now deceased and has been for 2+ yrs. I checked county records and the deceased owner was divorce for over 7yrs at the time of passing on.
The deceased has a sibling who lives in town and a few that live out of state . As well as a mother that is very old that lives in state. No children and also checked with county records, no will.
Not in foreclosure but does owe roughly 10k in back taxes on 4 properties and also owes roughly 30k in mortgages combined on all properties.
Any help on possible legal steps to take?
I will say that I am speaking with an attorney this upcoming week. I would like to take the most efficient and effective way of obtaining these properties.
Thanks in advance !
