Just a reminder, I guess, that the adage "one man's trash is another's treasure" applies to real estate, too.  

However; I have looked online at properties, as it reminds me of northern California (the real nor cal, not the bay area) Are there certain neighborhoods that are better than others for vacation rentals, etc.? 

Just set a reminder to yourself to log in to your account once a month and you are going to earn that high interest rate.
