The house is a 4/1 1930's bungalow in the metro Atlanta area located in a popular/heavily hipster populated part of town (inside the perimeter off the proposed belt line, for those familiar with the area).  

Iv'e been looking for a 3 bed 2 bath home in the lake Stevens, WA area. I've noticed the price of homes are high compared to the rents . I can't seem to find something that will fit the #'s I'm shooting for.

@Brie Schmidt not an expert on this but I think Cadet heaters with thermostats can be pretty efficient.. there is a company in the northwest that uses those as their standard on new construction.. and over on the Oregon coast were the temps only vary about 30 degrees all year they are popular

I worked full time so really didn't take advantage of all they had but I do know that it varies with the office.You should find the office that has turned out the most rock starts in the past couple of years.

With increased prices, and consumers that aren't in a position to buy, they have the opportunity to live in these popular areas and also willing to pay the increased rent that comes along with it.

Grocery and convenience stores are a little more regional; in Florida, Publix is popular, and if one of their stores is within a mile or two, that's probably better than if it's further away.  

(I also happily admit that the view from rooftop Glenmore Hotel in the Rocks is one of my favourite vistas in the world.)As someone who was trying to remotely manage a few things from Sydney while I lived there, I do encourage you to be cautious.
